PopSign is an educational bubble shooter game developed by the Georgia Institute of Technology and RIT/NTID’s Center on Access Technology. The game presents over 500 American Sign Language (ASL) signs based on the MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventories, which form the fundamental concepts for language instruction in early childhood.

The statistics reveal that 95% of deaf infants are born to hearing parents who generally lack knowledge of sign language. Consequently, these children are often deprived of access to natural language acquisition in their crucial developmental years, rendering them vulnerable to Language Deprivation Syndrome (LDS), with potential grave consequences on various aspects of their lives including interpersonal relationships, education, and employment.
